The iconic Naked Bike Ride was launched in 2009, intending to promote body positivity, fuel conservation, and desexualizing nudity. PNBR started at 4 miles and increased to 12 miles riding past some of Philly’s historic sites, such as Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Some chose to paint body parts with inspirational messages.
